The permits to work module is a set of forms used to capture and log the required details.
Some clients may not use this module or your role in QUOODA® may not have access to this area. If unsure, please speak to your Super Users for clarification.
Step 1. Select a permit type
Hover over the ‘Permits to work’ option on the main menu. The available types will be shown in a sub-menu and you can select the one you wish to view.
Find the permit you want to view
You will be able to see permits that are associated with properties you have access to view. Super Users will be able to see all permits. You can search and filter the data table to find the permit you need.

Download, preview or share a permit
Permits are available in PDF format and can be downloaded by clicking on the red PDF icon. You can preview the file or send it via email using the menu next to that icon.
Editing a permit
To open a permit and edit it, click on it within the table but ensure you avoid the PDF icon and any specific controls within that line.
Please Note: If you are editing a permit in a status of Final Save the 'Final Save and Close' option will be greyed out. You will need to click 'Partial Save and Close' before making any changes to re-open the permit.
You can edit permits in the status of Partial Save and update any of the fields. We cover some of the key tabs and data to consider on the record a new permit to work help page.
Once you have made the required changes you can 'Partial Save and Close' or 'Final Save and Close' depending on the status of the permit.
