Release Highlights | 3rd of February 2026 | Version 2026.2
This release introduces several improvements to how users store and manage attachments, focusing on an improved user interface and workflow improvements that make document handling more intuitive and efficient. These updates reflect common customer requests and are designed to save users time, reduce training overhead, and simplify everyday file management.
Workflow Improvements
Documents and images can now be associated directly with an entity without having to choose storage locations. This change ensures that documents within QUOODA® serve a clear purpose, can be traced back to related assets, and are better organised, while significantly reducing the likelihood of orphaned files.
Users will experience a more consistent and guided upload workflow that better reflects how documents are used across the system.
Expanded File Type Support
We’ve expanded the range of file types that can be attached throughout QUOODA®, giving users greater flexibility when working with different kinds of documents. This enhancement makes it easier to upload and manage the files you already use in your day-to-day workflows, without the need for conversion or workarounds. The full list of supported file types can be found on our Supported file types support page.
Security Improvements
The security model has been simplified to provide clearer and more consistent access control. Superusers will continue to have access to Filestore for searching and downloading files; however, the ability to create or update files directly within Filestore has been removed. Standard users will no longer have access to Filestore, helping to maintain a simpler and more secure permissions model.
Performance Improvements
As a result of the Filestore changes, users will notice a marked performance improvement when saving documents on the upload screen.
Visual Enhancements on file uploads & files
File uploads have been visually enhanced to improve usability and clarity:
- A larger drag-and-drop area is now displayed during uploads.
- The document type is now shown next to each uploaded file name, making it easier to identify files at a glance.
Asset Root Folder has been removed from Company Configuration
The asset root folder has been removed from the company configuration, and all attachments moving forward will be defaulted to the Attachments root folder
Filestore Update (Future Direction)
Filestore is planned to be phased out over time as part of ongoing improvements to document management. Further details, including timelines and alternative solutions, will be communicated ahead of time to ensure a smooth transition.
Closed Risk Report will now be sent as an email
As part of our continued focus on improving reliability for larger reports, the Closed Risk report is now generated in the background, and a secure download link is sent to you by email.
We hope that you find these enhancements useful. For additional information on any of the updates or assistance in using them, please contact QUOODA® Support.
