The steps below will allow Super Users to impersonate another user’s account.
The ability to impersonate another user’s account is an extra permission on top of standard Super User access that can be requested via QUOODA® Support . Submit a request.
If the user account is no longer required to have Super User access, the ability to remove impersonation rights is not automated and will require a removal request sent to QUOODA® Support to action.
The purpose of this feature is to allow a Super User to verify the security access and visibility for new roles and accounts they are creating. You cannot make any amendments while impersonating another account. The save button on key records will be disabled and greyed out to prevent this. Changing column views and other personal preferences will affect that user’s login the next time they access their account.
Step 1. Click on the impersonate function
Step 2. Type in the name of the user account
Begin typing the name of the user account that you wish to impersonate.
Step 3. Click and select an account to impersonate
Click the name of the user that you wish to impersonate. Your view will now display the user’s QUOODA® homepage.
The username of the account that is being impersonated will display at the top right-hand side of the display on a red banner.
Step 4. Impersonate account
You can navigate the system as normal, clicking on the module/function you wish to check.
Step 5. Return to your login
Once you have finished impersonating the user account in question, return to your login by clicking “Stop Impersonation” on the top right-hand side of the display. You will be taken to the homepage of your QUOODA® login.
