The steps below will allow Super Users to add a pre built sub-asset type to your QUOODA® System.
QUOODA® has pre-built sub-assets out of the box (Boilers, Escalators, Lifts etc.) however, these are not always displayed straight away. These sub-assets are usually associated with an asset (property). Adding sub-assets will allow you to upload relevant documentation, allowing greater accuracy with reporting and compliance.
TOP TOP: If the sub-asset type you need is not available, you can create new types by following the instructions on the Adding Custom Sub Assets page.
If the sub-asset type is already available when you hover the cursor over Assets within the menu (left-hand side of the screen), it has already been added, and these steps are not needed.
Step 1. Go to Settings > Menu Management > Re-Order & Global Visibility
Step 2. Select the sub-asset type to add to the menu
- In the ‘Main’ column under Assets, select the sub-asset you wish to display by ticking the appropriate box.
- You can click and drag the entities to re-order them.
- Click ‘Save Order & Visibility’ at the bottom of the screen once done to implement the changes.
Step 3. Ensure role permissions are in place.
When you add a new sub-asset type, you will need to ensure the role types that need access can:
- See it within the menu via role-based menu visibility
- View, edit, add, or delete this asset type as required, via role security
Now that the sub-asset type has been enabled, you can add sub-assets to it.
