Compliance Smartforms – Linking Compliance Rule to a Checklist
Our March 2024 release introduces a new way to set up Compliance Smartforms. Users can now link up to 6 compliance rules to the same checklist template via the ‘Compliance’ tab on the ‘Edit Checklist Template’ screen.
This allows for a seamless RAG set-up where users can monitor the completion status of checklists at different frequencies.

Changes to Compliance Rules within the Building Safety Act grids
Clients with Building Safety Act functionalities enabled will see changes to compliance rules within the BSA grids.
What are the changes?
We are changing the compliance rule details (e.g., name, category, description, and frequency) for some rules. We are also adding 2 new rules and removing 9 rules.
Why are you making changes?
We are making these changes to reflect the latest published guidance.
Which rules are being affected?
A full list has already been sent to Super Users in advance of the release. If you would like a copy of this list please contact support.
How will this affect my QUOODA?
- The new name, category and description of rules indicated as ‘UPDATE’ on the document sent to Super Users will be reflected on all RAGs where these rules are used.
- The ‘Valid To’ date of documents (if present) will be updated to reflect the new frequency for the rules with changes made to their frequency. These are highlighted in green on the attached sheet.
- The ‘Fire Stopping Survey’ under new rules under ‘ADD’ will be added to the system and mapped to all BSA applicable properties.
- The ‘Automatic Sprinkler System Maintenance and Servicing’ will be added to the system but remain unmapped. Please map the compliance rule if it is applicable to any of your properties.
- The 9 rules under ‘REMOVE’ will be unmapped from all BSA applicable properties within the BSA Grids and mapped to the same properties on a new template and grid named ‘Building Safety Act – Removals – DD.MMM.YYYY'.
- You will be able to change the mappings from the newly created template.
- You can also remove the template and the grid at any time.
- The rules will remain on the system and can be added to your non-BSA templates.
- All documents uploaded will be kept the same.
- This additional grid is not chargeable and will not affect the conditions of your agreement.
